Our Purpose
Blooming Creativity was created to ignite people's creative forces, bring them to the surface, and to continue to find inspiration when they return to their lives.
Camp Includes
Creative Workshops
Each day different aspects of art and creativity will be explored through hands on workshops. This may include painting, sculpture, mosaics, writing, collage, using non-traditional materials, etc.

This is a chance to get messy, have fun making stuff and to re-connect with your creative spirit without caring about the results. No previous experience needed, though finger painting in kindergarten may be an asset.

Mobile Studio
Fox Haven is a stunning setting to inspire the creativity of our attendees with the beautiful wilderness all around. To take full advantage of this, we will have a mobile art studio.
A screened in tent will be set up in different locations on the property throughout our retreat. This will allow artists to enjoy capturing different views of the beautiful scenery with any medium they choose.
Group Discussions
We will be seeking and exploring alternate ways of finding your muse and voice. Discover creative aspects, inspiration, and outlets that may surprise you.

Creativity can also be inspired by others. Through group discussions, we will delve into the creative spirit, work through blocks, and open new avenues previously undiscovered.
Life Drawing
Life drawing allows one to learn about the human figure. It can be a wonderful meditation on anatomy and presence.
Most days will include the opportunity to do life drawing with a professional model. Short and long poses, along with both clothed and nude poses will be included.
One can use any medium and choose how realistic or abstract they want their style to be. It is an opportunity for experimentation, learning, and practice.

Fun Activities
Letting loose and having fun can allow creativity to flow better. We will be peppering the retreat with activities to allow this. Weather having a wild paint battle, a relaxed nature hike, kayak excursion through the wetlands, a sing along at the campfire, or even a late night board game.

Communal Food
The preparation and presentation of food can be great sources of creativity and inspiration. Eating well gives the body and mind fuel to enable people to have the energy to create.
The meals at Blooming Creativity are communal affairs. Whenever possible, things grown about the land are used in the food. This includes vegetables from the garden, plants foraged from the forest, and fresh herbs.

Food allergies made known to us will be strictly adhered to and there will be options for those with dietary restrictions such as vegetarians. After registration, a form will be sent to attendees to tell us about allergies and restrictions.
​
There will also be a workshop on bringing creativity out in other aspects of life including in the kitchen.

Pristine Wilderness
The camp is held in a beautiful location that includes a private lake with its own island. There are birch, maple, and pine forests with pristine wetlands and outcroppings of Canadian Shield granite.
This wilderness is teeming with wildlife including beavers, moose, groundhogs, snowshoe hares, red squirrels, foxes, chipmunks, eagles, cranes, turtles, and fish.
